Emily Windler, Co-Artistic Director of Grumble Productions, is an actor, deviser, director and teacher. As an actor she has performed nationally and internationally, including credits with In Strange Company (Albuquerque, NM), Dell’Arte Company (Blue Lake, CA), WONDERHEADS (Portland, OR), and Black Sheep Theatre (Ottawa, ON). Emily has an MFA equivalent in Ensemble Based Physical Theater from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she trained as an ‘actor-creator’, studying the development of original, physically driven work in ensemble. She has since traveled throughout North America touring work that she has co-devised and co-created, including TaDa!: a WonderShort, Gary Has a Date, Poe and Mathews: a Misadventure in the Middle of Nowhere, and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Hansom Cab Killer. Determined to continue the development of unexpected and imaginative theatre, she joined forces with another Dell’Arte graduate, Brian Kuwabara, to create Grumble Productions in 2011.
